Meighread Dandeneau
Hi, I’m Meighread (she/her). I’m an actor, voice and dialect coach, and producer/marketer. I trained at East 15 Drama School, where I had the privilege of also studying at Shakespeare’s Globe.
After graduating with an MFA in Acting with Distinction, I began producing independent theatre, integrating my marketing background and coaching voice on a variety of productions. I now work across performance, voice, and production.
Originally from the US, I split my time between Boston/Southeastern MA and London, UK. I care about helping people feel confident in their voice.

Onstage, in rehearsal, and in the room.
VOICE PRACTICE
What to Expect
My vocal practice centers on playfulness, commitment, and ease. So often, we get locked up in past vocal experiences. That’s why my work starts with play.
A wise teacher once told me voice training should feel like a video game. Challenging enough to stay engaging. Fun enough to keep going.
I draw from techniques popularized by Barbara Houseman, Christina Gutekunst, and Jo Estill, alongside my own experience working with actors in rehearsal rooms.
We all learn differently. I encourage curiosity. I encourage experimentation. We find what works for you. Sessions are practical and responsive.
You can expect clear feedback, exercises you can return to, and space to take risks without pressure.

ACCENT COACHING
Need an accent for a role? Preparing for an audition? Looking to expand your range?
Sessions are tailored to your needs.
I offer clear, playable adjustments that you can take straight into your work. We focus on sound, rhythm, and placement, always connected to the text.
Accent work should feel achievable. It should feel usable. And it should feel like something you can trust under pressure.

Singing Lessons
Let’s play.

My singing sessions are actor-friendly and exploration-led. We focus on connection to text, freedom in the voice, and building confidence in your sound.
You do not need to be “a singer” to start. You just need curiosity. We’ll work with material you enjoy, build technique through doing, and find a way of singing that feels like you.

Voice Direction
Every show has its own vocal world.

Whether you are working with heightened text, contemporary dialogue, or anything in between, voice direction helps bring clarity and consistency to performance.
I work alongside directors and actors to support vocal storytelling. That might mean dialect work, text clarity, stamina, or helping actors feel more at home in their voices.
The goal is always the same. Work that feels grounded, specific, and alive.
TESTIMONIALS
Katherine Oliver
Actor
[Meighread] is warm, patient and smart. She has a brilliant ear for detail and can quickly identify where and how to adjust, [making] it feel easy to find the cadence and rhythm of the accent. I’ve sharpened up my skills from passable to excellent in just three sessions!
Elea Johansen
Singer & Rapper
I'd recommend Meighread to people who struggle opening up their voice and who are insecure about performing and using their voice...people like me who have been performing but then stopped because of insecurities and who wish to start again within a safe space.

I feel more confident in my voice and my ability to look at my voice as an instrument.
Alex Stroming
Artistic Director, T. Regina Theatre Co.
The best dialect work is invisible, and Meighread’s dialect coaching helped the actors to live authentically in the world of the play. Reviewers agreed as did audiences – audiences were surprised to learn the actor was not herself from London.
Camilla Seale
Opera Singer
Meighread is a very smart MT teacher and coach - both with singing technique and with interpretation of songs. She's got really quick observational skills, drawing on a lot of experience, and lots of ideas of how to approach things from different angles. I've really appreciated our work together!
